Job summary

BAN CHON CORPORATION & TRADING PTE LTD is seeking a Safety Officer to conduct construction site and safety inspections across operations and facilities in Singapore. You will document findings, suggest corrective actions, and advise staff to maintain a safe working environment in compliance with safety regulations and standards.

You will assist in enforcing safety policies, provide health and safety training, and perform technical surveillance and testing as required, communicating clearly both

Qualifications

• Experience performing construction site safety inspections.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
• Capability to train staff on safety topics.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction site and safety inspections of all operations and facilities.
• Document inspections and suggest corrective measures.
• Advise staff to maintain a safe working environment and comply with regulations.
• Assist superiors to enforce safety policy and EH guidelines.
• Train construction staff on various health and safety topics.
• Provide direct technical surveillance and testing services as required.
• Utilize inspection methods, procedures and health and safety guidelines.
• Develop and deliver safety and health training programs.
• Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Establish working relationships with regulatory representatives.
• Operate technical testing equipment and instruments.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
• Make logical decisions and remain detail-oriented.
• Work independently under minimal supervision.
