Job summary

EXPRO BUILDERS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Supervisor/Coordinator to oversee day-to-day site safety on Singapore construction sites. You will inspect for unsafe acts and conditions, ensure prompt corrective actions, and enforce compliance with the WSH Act, regulations, and project safety requirements.

You will verify SWPs and RAs, identify hazards, and communicate safety measures to workers and supervisors. Experience in high-risk activities and contractor site records is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working experience in the construction industry as a Safety Supervisor/Coordinator in Singapore.
• Knowledge of WSH Act and regulations.
• Contractor site work experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspections to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Supervise all work activities to comply with the WSH Act, WSH Regulations, and CAG project safety requirements.
• Verify workers follow safe work procedures (SWPs) and risk assessments (RAs).
• Identify workplace hazards and report during construction activities.
• Recommend and implement appropriate control measures.
• Communicate site hazards, control measures, and safety reminders to workers and site supervisors.
• Supervise High Risk activities such as lifting operations, work at height, excavation works, confined space entry, hot works, demolition works and piling works.
• Verify the contractor Site Safety Records such as MSRA Briefing Record, Permit to Work (PTW), training records and certificates and toolbox meeting records.
• Reporting unsafe conditions/unsafe acts immediately.
• Contact the ASM/PSM of incidents and provide updates.
• Work closely with the ASM/PSM to maintain a safe work environment.
