Position: Construction/ Project Engineer
Location: Tuas (Transport provided)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
Salary Package: Up to $4,800 + Transport Allowance* + Bonus
Job Responsibilities
- Support the sourcing, evaluation and appointment of contractors and consultants, including scope clarification and work package preparation.
- Coordinate with internal engineering, operations, project management and other relevant teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and cost objectives.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, risk assessments, work procedures and other relevant technical records.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants and clients to plan critical work activities and minimise potential delays to project completion.
- Monitor day-to-day site activities, including work progress, manpower deployment and subcontractor performance.
- Monitor quality, safety and compliance requirements throughout project execution.
- Assist in monitoring project costs, including progress claims, construction expenses and variation orders.
- Prepare and submit regular project progress reports to management.
- Coordinate and participate in project progress meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
- Support project commissioning and handover activities, ensuring all contractual and project requirements are fulfilled.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
- At least a Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry, especially in EPC projects preferred.
- Experience working with or managing contractors/ subcontractors is preferred.
