Job summary

INTUIT RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is assisting a client in the Environmental Services sector to hire a Site/Construction Engineer for a permanent position in Tuas, Singapore. The role involves coordinating with project teams, overseeing contractors, reviewing drawings, and ensuring safety and quality compliance on site.

You will manage day-to-day site activities, monitor costs, and participate in progress meetings to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of Oil & Gas industry experience, preferably EPC projects.
• Experience working with or managing contractors/subcontractors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the sourcing, evaluation and appointment of contractors and consultants, including scope clarification and work package preparation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and cost objectives.
• Manage project documentation, including drawings, risk assessments, and work procedures.
• Plan and coordinate critical activities with contractors and clients to avoid delays.
• Monitor day-to-day site activities, including progress and safety compliance.
• Assist in monitoring project costs, including progress claims and expenses.
• Prepare and submit regular project progress reports to management.
• Participate in project progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure construction activities align with drawings, specs and contracts.
• Support commissioning and handover activities as required.

Our esteemed client in the Environmental Services industry is seeking a Site/Construction Engineer to join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Position: Site/ Construction Engineer
• Location: Tuas (Transport provided)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
• Salary Package: Up to $4,800 + Transport Allowance* + Bonus

Job Responsibilities

• Support the sourcing, evaluation and appointment of contractors and consultants, including scope clarification and work package preparation.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, operations, project management and other relevant teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and cost objectives.
• Manage project documentation, including drawings, risk assessments, work procedures and other relevant technical records.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and clients to plan critical work activities and minimise potential delays to project completion.
• Monitor day-to-day site activities, including work progress, manpower deployment and subcontractor performance.
• Monitor quality, safety and compliance requirements throughout project execution.
• Assist in monitoring project costs, including progress claims, construction expenses and variation orders.
• Prepare and submit regular project progress reports to management.
• Coordinate and participate in project progress meetings with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Support project commissioning and handover activities, ensuring all contractual and project requirements are fulfilled.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

• At least a Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry, especially in EPC projects preferred.
• Experience working with or managing contractors/ subcontractors is preferred.
