Job summary

Engmech Sdn Bhd, a leading air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation contractor, is seeking a Purchaser to source materials and services for construction projects.

You will evaluate suppliers, request quotations, process requisitions and POs, verify specs and pricing, and maintain procurement records across site activities.

The role requires a Diploma and at least 2 years of related experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma level with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with construction materials, suppliers and procurement requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and select suppliers for construction materials, equipment and services.
• Request and analyse quotations from multiple vendors.
• Manage all Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders and supplier Invoices.
• Verify material specs, quantities and pricing before orders.
• Maintain complete records of procurement transactions.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery to sites.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors.
• Communicate costing estimations to management and contractors.
