Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead building works from inception to completion. The role emphasizes strategic oversight, safety, budget control, and timely project delivery across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction management experience on large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with high quality and safety.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Degree in Construction Management.
• Valid construction safety certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and direct all construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Manage site operations, including labour coordination, equipment allocation and procurement of materials.
• Conduct regular site inspections and document progress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes and company policies.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, drawings and contract records.
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns.
• Lead and motivate construction teams, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism and continuous improvement.
• Monitor budget expenditure and cost control measures, reporting financial performance to senior management.
• Ensure all health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards are met, conducting toolbox meetings and safety briefings as required.

About the role

Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Manager in Building Works to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position, where you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. As Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards whilst maintaining excellent safety practices across all sites.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction management of building works, ideally gained on large-scale or complex construction projects




• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, safety regulations and industry best practices




• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining high standards of quality and safety




• Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail




• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite




• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels




• Leadership capabilities with experience in managing and supervising construction teams




• Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline




• Valid construction safety certification or willingness to obtain one




• Ability to work in challenging site environments and adapt to changing project requirements




• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control
