Job summary

MBSS Construction PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction and renovation projects from planning through to completion.

You will lead site teams, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and ensure work is performed safely, on schedule and to the required quality. MBSS CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage construction and renovation projects from planning through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating with main contractors, consultants and stakeholders, leading site teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily construction site operations, ensuring projects progress according to approved plans, schedules and specifications.
• Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and resources to support efficient project execution.
• Lead, supervise and manage workers and site teams, including attendance, performance, training, work discipline and productivity.
• Coordinate closely with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Communicate effectively in English with contractors, consultants, clients and stakeholders to address project requirements and site matters.
• Review, interpret and understand construction drawings, blueprints, specifications and technical documents.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or operational issues, and implement practical solutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure all works comply with required safety standards, quality requirements, construction specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, work progress and adherence to project requirements.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues, coordinating with relevant parties to minimise disruption and maintain project timelines.
• Monitor project costs, materials usage and manpower requirements to support efficient resource management.
• Prepare and maintain relevant site documentation, progress reports and project records.
• Provide leadership and direction to site teams while promoting a professional, safe and productive working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Construction Supervisor, Site Manager or similar role in construction and/or renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction site operations, project coordination and workforce management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications and technical documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally in English with main contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple site requirements and priorities.
• Practical and solutions-oriented approach to resolving construction and site-related challenges.
• Responsible, proactive and confident in making sound decisions in a fast-paced site environment.
• Able to work independently while effectively coordinating with project teams and external stakeholders.
• Relevant construction qualifications, certifications or safety training will be an advantage.
