Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. seeks a hands-on engineering leader to drive site coordination across Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP works. You will manage design deliverables, drawings, and shop submittals while maintaining schedule and budget compliance.

You will serve as the principal technical interface among client, consultants and site teams, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory adherence throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all engineering, technical and design coordination at the project site.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet schedule, budget, quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Act as main technical contact between client, consultants and site teams; coordinate Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP works and manage technical risks.
• Review drawings, specifications and method statements; oversee RFIs, clarifications, design changes and shop drawings/material submittals.
• Coordinate disciplines via regular engineering meetings; use BIM to resolve clashes and reduce rework.
• Provide technical support to site teams; plan construction methods; assist procurement in technical evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with contract specs; oversee inspections, quality control and as-built handover documents.
• Identify and manage technical risks early; lead change management throughout the project.
• Lead and mentor engineering staff; assign responsibilities; promote safety and quality; provide updates to management.

Job description

• Responsible for leading and managing all engineering, technical, and design coordination activities at the project site.
• To ensures that engineering deliverables are completed in line with the project schedule, budget, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Acts as the main technical point of contact between the client, consultants, and site teams, while coordinating Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP works and managing technical risks.
• Manage all engineering and design-related activities, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure compliance and constructability. Oversee RFIs, technical clarifications, and design changes, and ensure timely submission and approval of shop drawings and material submittals.
• Coordinate with different disciplines through regular engineering meetings to ensure design deliverables support the construction schedule. Use BIM tools to identify and resolve clashes to reduce rework.
• Provide technical support to site teams, assist in planning construction methods, and support procurement in the technical evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure all works comply with contract specifications and statutory requirements. Oversee inspections, quality control processes, and assist in preparing as-built drawings and project handover documents.
• Identify and manage technical risks early to reduce impact on project cost and schedule, while maintaining proper change management throughout the project.
• Lead and mentor engineering staff, assign responsibilities effectively, promote strong safety and quality practices, and provide regular technical updates to management and project stakeholders.
