Job summary

DECORIAL PTE LTD invites applications for Construction Engineer – Site & Technical Coordination to supervise on-site activities and coordinate construction tasks, providing technical support for steel, aluminium, roofing, canopies, and structural works.

You will manage workers, ensure quality and safety, and liaise with engineers, architects and clients to resolve issues and maintain progress. A practical, hands-on approach and ability to read drawings are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction, site, or technical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
• Experience managing and supervising foreign workers.
• Familiarity with 2D CAD drawings; AutoCAD is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction and installation works on site to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards
• Manage, guide, and train foreign workers on installation methods, workmanship, and safe working practices to enhance team performance
• Allocate daily work and coordinate manpower based on project schedules and requirements
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment deliveries to maintain smooth site operations
• Monitor site progress, workmanship quality, and safety compliance, reporting issues promptly
• Provide regular progress updates and site photos to project stakeholders
• Attend site and project meetings with contractors, consultants, engineers, architects, and clients to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution
• Review architectural, structural, and shop drawings to ensure accurate execution of works according to approved details
• Verify site conditions, dimensions, levels, and setting-out before installation to prevent errors
• Identify site constraints and propose practical technical solutions to maintain project timelines
• Provide technical input on steel structures, trusses, structural supports, aluminium, and installation details to support design and construction accuracy
• Collaborate with drafting teams by providing accurate site information and feedback for shop drawings
• Communicate site requirements and technical instructions clearly to workers and project teams to ensure understanding and compliance
• Support the Project Manager and Site Supervisor in resolving site and construction issues to maintain project flow
• Follow up on outstanding site matters to ensure timely completion of works
• Ensure all works meet project quality standards, safety regulations, and programme deadlines

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings
• Familiarity with 2D CAD drawings; AutoCAD experience is an advantage
• Experience in awning, canopy, roofing, façade, aluminium, steel, or general building works
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude to work collaboratively within a team
• Responsible, hands-on, independent, and able to take ownership of site matters
• Responsive communication skills using WhatsApp, phone, and other channels
