Job summary

RB ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated cost estimator who can manage and prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, from initial calculations to final accounts, to support bidding and pricing decisions.

The role requires ensuring compliance with standards and policies and coordinating with stakeholders during site visits. You will allocate work to contractors, assess risks, negotiate with parties, monitor costs, prepare tender documents, and develop cost-reduction

Qualifications

Ability to develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
Experience in budgeting and cost control.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manages and prepares all cost estimates for construction projects from initial calculations to final accounts.
Allocate work to contractors and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow.
Assess hazards and risks to ensure workplace safety is maintained.
Communicate adjustments to cost estimates with management, contractors, and sub-contractors.
Conduct negotiations during the project to resolve issues.
Control project scope to meet objectives and enhance deliverables.
Develop cost-reduction strategies to enhance overall project value.
Monitor project costs to ensure objectives are met under building contract law.
Oversee compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Prepare tender and contract documents.
Prepare cost analyses to ensure overall value is optimized.
Provide advice on contractual claims to manage project scope.
