The role focuses on minimising costs while adhering to standards, tracking contract progress for variations, and conducting site visits for progress certification.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating costs from early stages to final accounts.
• Ability to minimise costs while meeting standards and policies.
• Experience handling variations and cost reduction strategies.
• Office-based with site visits for progress certification.

Responsibilities

• Allocate work to contractors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Assess hazards and risks to maintain safety in the workplace.
• Communicate with management, contractors and sub-contractors on cost estimate adjustments.
• Conduct negotiations during the course of the project to resolve issues.
• Control project scope to meet objectives and enhance deliverables.
• Develop cost reduction strategies to enhance project value.
• Monitor costs to meet building contract requirements.
• Oversee compliance with standards and regulations.
• Prepare tender and contract documents per regulations.
• Provide advice on contractual claims to manage scope.
