Latham & Watkins LLP in Singapore seeks an OGC Lawyer – Conflicts and Ethics to support compliance programs, conflicts intake, and regulatory risk management, while maintaining knowledge of ethics and professional responsibility rules across our jurisdictions outside the United States.

You will assist senior lawyers in evaluating conflicts, conduct legal research, review engagement terms, and help ensure firm-wide risk controls; a law degree and admission to a bar are required for this role with

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Law degree or equivalent required.
• Qualification as solicitor, barrister or equivalent foreign lawyer with unfettered right to practice in home jurisdiction.
• Active practicing certificate or local bar membership required.
• Post-qualification experience preferred.
• Experience working in a conflicts team preferred.
• General law firm compliance experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist senior lawyers and Conflicts Department staff in identifying, evaluating, and resolving ethical and business conflict issues for conflicts checks on laterals and new business.
• Perform legal research and analysis on conflicts or ethics and professional responsibility as requested by Senior Assistant General Counsels.
• Manage general risk programs (e.g., file audits, accountants letters, contract review).
• Assist with review and analysis of Outside Counsel Guidelines, Engagement Letters, and engagement terms with firm clients.
• Research and analyze complex ethics and compliance questions with stakeholders.

Formazione

Bachelor's degree in law

Law degree or equivalent

Solicitor/Barrister qualification or foreign lawyer with right to practice

Active practicing certificate or local bar membership
