Job summary

YY SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Concrete Pump Operation Manager in Singapore to plan and coordinate daily pumping operations, arrange pumps and manpower, and ensure on-time deployment for casting works.

You will monitor site activities, coordinate with contractors, manage equipment maintenance, and contribute to safety and reporting processes. The role requires strong English and Chinese communication, hands-on leadership of operators and drivers, and flexibility for night shifts or

Concrete Pump Operation Manager – Job Scope

1. Daily Operations

• Plan and coordinate daily concrete pumping operations.
• Arrange concrete pumps, operators, drivers, mechanics and supporting manpower according to project requirements.
• Ensure pumps are deployed to sites on time and ready for casting works.
• Monitor ongoing pumping operations and resolve operational issues quickly.
• Coordinate emergency replacement of pumps in case of breakdowns.

2. Site Coordination

• Liaise with main contractors, subcontractors, site supervisors and project teams regarding casting schedules.
• Confirm pump location, access, working area, pipeline requirements and site conditions before operations.
• Attend site meetings when required.
• Handle customer complaints and operational issues.

3. Equipment Management

• Monitor the condition and availability of concrete pumps, pipelines, accessories and supporting equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and servicing.
• Ensure equipment inspections are carried out regularly.
• Work closely with mechanics to troubleshoot and repair pump breakdowns.
• Maintain records of equipment breakdowns, repairs and servicing.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all pumping operations comply with company safety procedures and Singapore workplace safety requirements.
• Ensure operators conduct proper pre-operation checks.
• Monitor safe setup and operation of concrete pumps, pipelines and outriggers.
• Investigate accidents, near misses and equipment incidents where required.
• Conduct toolbox meetings / safety briefings when necessary.

5. Manpower Management

• Manage and supervise concrete pump operators, drivers, mechanics and other operational staff.
• Prepare manpower schedules and allocate workers to different sites.
• Monitor attendance, performance and discipline.
• Arrange replacement manpower for urgent or unplanned situations.
• Identify training needs for operators and other staff.

6. Cost Control

• Monitor operational costs, including:Diesel/fuelRepairs and maintenanceSpare partsManpowerTransportationPipeline and equipment usage
• Monitor overtime and unnecessary equipment standby time.
• Work with management to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily pump deployment and operation records.
• Monitor concrete volume pumped, working hours and standby hours.
• Prepare breakdown and incident reports.
• Verify site records, timesheets and pump usage records.
• Provide regular operational reports to management.

8. Customer & Commercial Support

• Support the sales/commercial team with pump availability and scheduling.
• Assist in preparing quotations or operational cost information when required.
• Monitor additional charges such as standby time, overtime, transportation, fuel surcharge and breakdown-related costs.
• Communicate with customers regarding operational charges and site-related issues.

9. Requirements

• Able to speak, read and write English and Chinese.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in concrete pumping / construction operations will be an advantage.
• Able to manage workers, coordinate with sites and handle urgent operational issues.
• Willing to work flexible hours when required for night casting or urgent breakdowns.
