A dynamic gaming studio in Singapore is seeking an experienced Concept cum 2D Rendering Artist. You will be responsible for creating high-quality concept art and polished 2D renderings specifically for mobile games. The ideal candidate should have 5–10 years of experience in art production, strong skills in digital painting tools like Photoshop, and a solid understanding of 2D aesthetics. This role requires collaboration across departments to ensure visual consistency and high-quality game assets tailored for mobile platform needs.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Concept cum 2D Rendering Artist. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in developing stylized and visually engaging concepts tailored for mobile platforms. This role involves creating characters, environments, and game assets that are optimized for mobilescreen readability while maintaining high-quality visual appeal. A game artist who can combine traditional art skills with modern AI assisted workflows.
Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, VFX ideas, UI elements, andgameplay moments specifically designed for mobile games.
  • Produce polished 2D renderings optimized for mobile aesthetics—clear silhouettes, vibrant colors, and strong visual readability.
  • Develop quick ideation sketches, thumbnails, and mood boards based on game design briefs.
  • Work closely with the art director, artists and other teams to ensure concepts support gameplay, user experience, and mobile performance constraints.
  • Understand how concepts translate into animation, UI, and game engine implementation.
  • Maintain visual consistency across all in-game assets and support the creation of style guides.
  • Iterate based on feedback and collaborate across departments to meet project milestones.

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Concept Artist / 2D Rendering Artist, with at least 2–3 years in mobile gaming.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
  • Strong in digital painting tools: Photoshop (must), procreate.
  • Strong fundamentals in anatomy, perspective, composition, lighting, and colour harmony.
  • A strong understanding of 2D aesthetics along with the ability to generate, refine and enhance artwork using AI tools.
  • Ability to convert game design briefs into visually engaging concepts that support gameplay mechanics.
  • Experience producing art for different genres
  • Understanding of how concepts translate into 2D/3D asset pipelines for Unity/Unreal.
