GE Aviation, Engine Services – Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a manufacturing technician to perform grit blasting, masking, and plasma-spray related tasks on various engine components.

You will read operation sheets, select spraying programs, and maintain accurate documentation in a busy MRO environment. The role requires hands-on experience with grit blasting, masking, thermal/plasma spray operations, and CNC equipment, with a focus on following specifications and maintaining clean, organized

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably NITEC in Machining or equivalent.
  • Able to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grit blast, degrease and masking of components.
  • Check and establish appropriate programs for spraying.
  • Spray components in accordance with OP specifications.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Maintain log on maintenance and rectification of robot/equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in work area/robots/equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks.

Job Description Summary

You will perform cleaning & masking of parts to be plasma-sprayed. You are required to handle different engine models and stages of parts, masking and coating type needs, operate manual and auto grit blast machines.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:
  • Perform grit blast, degrease and masking of components
  • Check and establish appropriate programs for spraying

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Detail-oriented manufacturing technician with hands-on experience in grit blasting, masking, thermal/plasma spray operations, and CNC equipment, with the ability to follow OP/specification requirements, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold strong housekeeping and equipment care standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Preferably NITEC in Machining or equivalent
  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess basic technical know-how on the thermal spraying gun
  • Able to operate different types of coating spray
  • Able to operate grit blast machine, CNC machines, knowledge of CNC programming and plasma spray
