Job summary

GE Aerospace Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented manufacturing technician to perform grit blasting, masking, and thermal/plasma spray operations on engine components. You must follow OP specifications, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold high housekeeping standards.

Ideal candidates have at least a GCE O level and a NITEC in Machining, with 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English SOPs is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCE 'O' level.
  • Preferably NITEC in Machining or equivalent.
  • Able to read and understand operating sheets and SOPs in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grit blast, degrease and masking of components.
  • Check and establish spray programs.
  • Spray components per OP specifications.
  • Maintain documentation and logs for maintenance and rectification of equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the work area and on robots/equipment.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview

Perform grit blast, degrease and masking of components

Check and establish appropriate programs for spraying

Spray components in accordance with OP specifications

Ensure proper documentations are maintained

Maintain Log on maintenance and rectification of robot/equipment

Maintain good housekeeping in work area/robots/equipment

Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks

The Ideal Candidate

Detail-oriented manufacturing technician with hands-on experience in grit blasting, masking, thermal/plasma spray operations, and CNC equipment, with the ability to follow OP/specification requirements, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold strong housekeeping and equipment care standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GCE 'O' level and/or with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Preferably NITEC in Machining or equivalent
  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possess basic technical know-how on the thermal spraying gun
  • Able to operate different types of coating spray
  • Able to operate grit blast machine, CNC machines, knowledge of CNC programming and plasma spray
