Job summary

GE Aviation, Engine Services – Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks a Production Scheduler to ensure optimal use of equipment and manpower while meeting all program commitments. You will prepare schedules, assign work, and track progress to keep customer hardware flowing efficiently through the shop.

You will liaise with engineers, facilitators, and traffic, maintain WIP records, and uphold EHS standards. This role requires attention to detail and proactive problem solving in a dynamic MRO environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating production schedules and work flow.
  • Ability to read operation sheets and SOPs in English.
  • Experience in vane, blade or large component environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare production schedule for assigned areas.
  • Schedule work for team members and ensure timely processing.
  • Coordinate with schedule to resolve conflicts and priorities.
  • Maintain accurate WIP status and production boards.
  • Move parts to/from Traffic and coordinate with vendors.
  • Expedite rework parts and clear non-conformances.
  • Assist engineers in industrialization flow of new repairs.
  • Highlight daily production gaps or issues.
  • Generate docs for induction of customer parts into shop.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the preparation of production schedule for their assigned areas
  • Responsible for the scheduling of work to the team members in the assigned areas
  • Ensure work are processed timely from station to station during shift
  • Work with Scheduler to establish priorities where schedule conflict occurs
  • Responsible for optimum utilization of existing production control system to ensure accurate and current status of work in progress
  • Responsible for the movement of parts to & from Traffic including but not limited to farm out vendors
  • Responsible to coordinate with Engineers and Facilitators on disposition of parts
  • Maintain credible records to reflect perpetual WIP inventory status of all customer’s hardware in the shop & respective production boards are updated in timely manner
  • Responsible for expediting rework parts and clear non-conformances
  • Assist Engineers to coordinate the flow of work in the industrialization of new repairs
  • Highlight gaps or issues in daily production matters
  • Generate documentation required for induction of customer parts into the shop (Large Components)
  • Major Contacts: Includes external & internal contacts, excludes reporting relationships.

  • Met. Lab: Lab result of significant process-As required
  • Scheduler: Job Priorities

  • Adhere to all EHS rules & regulations per EHS OP HE20-00.
  • Personally demonstrate commitment to EHS and Heath Ahead Programs and initiatives
  • Participate in accident, injury, and illness prevention activities where applicable
  • Participate or lead in LEAN activities
  • Undertakes & comply with employee innovation & proprietary information agreement, GE Code of Conduct, GE Integrity (Spirit & Letter), position of trust and intellectual property stipulations.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Coordinates daily production scheduling, WIP tracking, part movement, and cross-functional issue resolution to ensure safe, timely, and efficient flow of customer hardware through the shop.
Required Qualifications:
  • GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English
  • Has worked in Vanes, Blades, or Large Component departments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Production scheduling skills
  • Strong coordination skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Independent and has initiative
