Compass Group (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a Compliance, Governance and Risk professional to monitor laws, develop policies, and administer EEO reporting. The role involves audits, data privacy oversight, and guiding senior leadership on integrity and regulatory adherence.
The successful candidate will bring 3+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion across business units in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities and Decision Rights
1. Regulatory & Legal Compliance
Monitor and interpret local labour laws, employment regulations, corporate governance requirements, data privacy legislation, and industry-specific regulations.
Develop, review, and maintain company policies, procedures, and controls to align with regulatory requirements.
Provide compliance advice and guidance to management and business leaders.
Support internal investigations involving regulatory or policy breaches.
Maintain an updated compliance register and legal obligation database.
2. Macroeconomic & Labour Market Analysis
Monitor macroeconomic indicators including:
GDP growth trends
Employment and unemployment rates
Inflation and cost-of-living developments
Wage growth trends
Labour shortages and workforce demographics
Immigration and work permit policy changes
Prepare periodic reports on economic and legislative developments affecting the business.
Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding workforce and compliance risks.
3. Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Compliance & Reporting
Manage and administer the company's EEO Reporting Platform.
Ensure accurate collection, verification, and submission of EEO-related workforce data.
Validate workforce demographic data, headcount reports, promotion statistics, recruitment outcomes, and compensation analyses.
Ensure compliance with anti-discrimination, equal opportunity, harassment prevention, and workplace inclusion requirements.
Conduct audits to identify potential adverse impact or discriminatory employment practices.
4. Corporate Governance & Risk Management
Conduct risk assessments and compliance audits.
Establish controls to mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
Monitor compliance incidents and ensure timely corrective actions.
Maintain compliance dashboards and risk registers.
5. Policy Development & Compliance Training
Develop and update company compliance policies and procedures.
Deliver compliance training across all business functions.
Provide awareness programs on:
Employment laws
Anti-bribery and corruption
Data privacy
Workplace discrimination
Code of Conduct
Workplace investigations
Ethical business practices
Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct.
6. Reporting & Analytics
Prepare compliance reports and dashboards for senior management.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance summaries.
Present compliance findings and recommendations to leadership teams.
Experience, Qualifications & Competency Requirements
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Risk Management, or related discipline.
Professional certification in Compliance, Governance, Risk Management, or Employment Law is advantageous.
Experience and competencies
Minimum 3 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Risk Management, or Corporate Governance.
Experience managing EEO reporting systems and regulatory submissions.
Experience conducting audits, investigations, and compliance assessments.
Strong understanding of employment legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Good written communication and presentation skills
Attention to details and high level of integrity and ethics
Good stakeholder management and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
