Job summary

TEHC Leisure Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team with food preparation and daily cleaniness. You will work closely with Cooks and Head Chef to ensure food preparation and daily kitchen activities run smoothly.

We value candidates who are willing to learn basic prep for local Singaporean and Western dishes, can follow recipes, maintain hygiene, and handle weekend or public holiday rosters. FSC Level 1 is required for food-handling duties.

Qualifications

• WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 certification is required for food-handling duties.
• Willing to learn basic food preparation for Singapore local and Western dishes.
• Able to follow instructions, recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Willing to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, cut, and portion ingredients according to instructions.
• Assist with basic prep such as marinating and weighing.
• Prepare ingredients and kitchen items required for daily service.
• Support preparation of Singapore local, Chinese-style and Western dishes.
• Assist with buffet services, corporate events and large group functions.
• Help set up and replenishment during events as trained.
• Keep work areas and utensils clean and organised.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Store ingredients properly and maintain housekeeping.
• Assist Cooks and Senior Cook during busy service.
• Support receiving and organising kitchen supplies.
• Assist with stock preparation and inventory duties.
• Carry out other duties assigned by Senior Cook or Head Chef.
