Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a community engagement professional to strengthen resident connections and support grassroots development. You will plan activities at GRO and divisional levels, recruit volunteers, manage social media, and develop PA-compliant communications.

The role emphasizes collaboration with residents and partners, with responsible financial and procurement practices. The position includes monthly reporting, adherence to data protection, and delivery of programmes aligned with GRO

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement, social work, grassroots development, or people-facing roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication; engage diverse residents and stakeholders; proficient with MS Office and social media.
• Nice-to-have: proficiency in a second language (Malay, Mandarin, Tamil) and experience in financial administration or procurement.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents and partners to understand needs and co-create programmes.
• Plan and execute community activities at GRO and divisional levels.
• Facilitate formation of interest groups and recruit GRO volunteers.
• Attend monthly GRO meetings and provide progress reports.
• Manage GROs' social media and develop PA-guidelines compliant communications.
• Ensure financial management of GROs and audit readiness.
