Job summary

OCR Alpha in Singapore is seeking a Commodities Trade Support / Middle Office professional to join the team and support the full trade lifecycle for commodities. You will work closely with Portfolio Managers and Front Office teams to manage trades, reconciliations and break investigations.

The role involves onboarding new products, exchanges and counterparties, with a focus on process improvement through technology and automation to enhance front-to-back operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in commodities across trading assistant, middle office or operations.
• Exposure to derivatives and/or physical commodities is preferred.
• Familiarity with trade capture, reconciliations and risk data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform trade capture and lifecycle management across commodities trades.
• Conduct break investigations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support brokers, clearing houses, fund administrators and counterparties.
• Assist onboarding of new products, exchanges, brokers and accounts.
• Improve processes through technology and automation to enhance front-to-back operations.
• Develop a deep understanding of front-to-back trading operations.

A leading global hedge fund is looking for a talented Commodities Trade Support / Middle Office professional to join its growing team in Singapore.

The Role

You’ll work closely with Portfolio Managers and Front Office teams across the full commodity trade lifecycle, including:

• Trade capture, lifecycle management and reconciliations
• Break investigation and resolution
• Supporting brokers, clearing houses, fund administrators and counterparties
• Onboarding new products, exchanges, brokers and accounts
• Improving processes through technology and automation
• Developing a deep understanding of front-to-back trading operations

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in commodities, ideally across Trading Assistant, Middle Office or Operations
• Exposure to derivatives and/or physical commodities
• Experience with platforms such as TT, WebICE, ClearPort, SGX, EEX, Trayport, ICE, Bloomberg, Refinitiv or Endur
• Strong understanding of trade, position and valuation reconciliations
• Onshore China exchange and commodity compliance experience is a plus
