Job summary

Morgan Stanley Singapore is seeking a Director-level specialist to join the Commodities Trade Support team. You will manage trade capture, processing of lifecycle events, reconciliations, and resolve trade exceptions across the region.

The role involves liaising with sales/traders, coordinating with regional teams, and driving operational readiness for new initiatives in a fast-paced trading environment. The position reports to the team manager in Singapore and requires strong analytical,

Qualifications

• At least 6 years’ relevant experience in commodities trade support.
• Experience with a global investment bank or commodities trading house.
• Strong understanding of commodities products, business and operational knowledge.
• Strong record of dealing with sales/traders and clients.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced trading floor environment.
• Effective problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate trade capture and checkout
• Resolve trade discrepancies with counterparties by liaising with trading, sales and relevant teams
• Monitor and process trade lifecycle events
• Control, reconcile, and resolve the trade processing exceptions
• Work with technology for implementation of new processing platforms and system enhancements
• Work with Legal/Compliance, IT and project teams to analyze new regulatory reform requirements and deploy new processes
• Drive operational readiness for new business initiatives
• Review desk processes and participate in operational projects to drive efficiency and risk mitigation
• Providing back up support and coverage for other functional teams in Singapore Asia Branch Operations
