Job summary

HI - TECH MARINE PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned commercial professional to liaise with ship owners and vendors on project requirements and costs. You will estimate and project shipbuilding, upgrading, repair and conversion costs and coordinate schedules.

You will lead the commercial team, resolve contractual issues, and report to management. You will work across operations, sales and marketing to maximize revenue, interpret financial insights, and develop competitive commercial strategies.

Job description

Liaison with ship owners, vendors as well as departments on project requirements and costs.

Estimation and Projection of Shipbuilding, Upgrading, Repair and Conversion Cost

Negotiate and coordinate with all parties on project schedule

Assist to manage and lead commercial team including development, training, performance management and succession planning

Resolving contractual and commercial problems and to report to the management regularly

Manage internal relationships with operations, commercial, Sales and Marketing to ensure optimal performance and to provide commercial requirements for projects and sales activities.

Interpreting financial, operational, commercial or customer insights to ensure a commercial/billing issue is fully understood and that hard hitting action are taken and constantly reviewed

Developing, reviewing and optimizing commercial strategies against key competitors

Work with the Sales team to target specific ‘high value’ customers and ensuring the business is maximizing revenue

Extensive experience in the required field

Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.

Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
