Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for driving commercial activities in the Singapore direct market, providing technical and clinical support to customers, while supporting the Regional Business Lead SE Asia/Australia in achieving sales objectives and exceeding budget.
Along with this, you will follow the responsibilities below:
- Achieve the sales targets for the Singapore direct market.
- Support the Regional Business Lead in defining and implementing commercial initiatives to drive sales growth.
- Collect and analyse market information to identify business opportunities.
- Support the launch of new products and application programs across the region.
- Provide product training and technical support to surgeons, clinic staff and distributors.
- Organize and conduct product presentations, user meetings and educational events.
- Plan and execute training programs for surgeons, counsellors, technicians and nurses involved in ICL.
- Disseminate key marketing and clinical messages to support product adoption and business growth.
- Conduct site visits and maintain close relationships with surgeons, KOLs and clinic personnel.
- Support customers with patient awareness, practice development and effective communication strategies.
- Act as the first point of contact for product-related consultations and customer enquiries, working closely with Medical Affairs where required.
- Monitor customer activities, evaluate outcomes and recommend improvements.
- Represent STAAR Surgical at congresses, expert meetings and other professional events.
- Assist with selected administrative activities for the Singapore office, including support for regulatory activities, office administration and other operational tasks as required.
- Work closely with the Regional Business Lead in coordinating business activities to meet the yearly objectives within the territory.
Your profile
- Degree in Optometry, Business, Marketing or a related discipline; equivalent hands‑on experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial, sales, application or training role within the medical device or ophthalmology industry.
- Strong commercial mindset combined with clinical application and customer training experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and build strong customer relationships.
- Strong organizational skills, able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
