Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks an experienced safety leader to oversee all safety matters for Defence Cyber Command, ensuring a safe and compliant environment. You will advise Commanders on safety, lead inspections, audits and education, and ensure rapid dissemination of lessons learnt, effective incident reporting, and preventive action across the Command.

Candidates should have safety-related education, professional certifications such as WSH Certification or CSP, and at least 10 years

• Education in safety-related fields with professional certifications (WSH CSP).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant workplace safety experience.
• Strong leadership and decisive decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to Commanders on safety-related matters, including routine monitoring, inspections, audits, and safety education.
• Ensure dissemination and application of lessons learnt from incidents to determine factors and preventive measures.
• Report on incidents, near misses, hazards, and unsafe practices and evaluate these to recommend and implement preventive actions.

You are responsible for all safety-related matters for Defence Cyber Command, ensuring a safe and compliant environment.

What You Will Be Working On

• Provide advice to Commanders on safety-related matters, including routine monitoring, inspections, audits, and safety education to all entities within the Command
• Ensure prompt and effective dissemination and application of lessons learnt from incidents to determine causal factors and recommend appropriate preventive measures
• Report on incidents, near misses, hazard reports, and safe and unsafe practices, and evaluate these incidents to identify causal factors and recommend and implement appropriate preventive measures

• Multi-tasking and working effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Being comfortable to report confidently to senior management

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Safety related fields, with relevant professional certifications such as Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Certification or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in the workplace safety
• Strong leadership and decision-making ability
