What a College Intern - Logistics Operations does at HP: Support logistics data processing, tracking, updating, and record keeping. Maintain and update logistics information in relevant systems, databases, and tracking tools. Support shipment documentation review, validation, filing, and system archiving. Assist with checking information across logistics and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and consistency. Support data review, reconciliation, basic reporting, logistics procedures, work instructions, and records. Use available digital and automation tools to support logistics activities where applicable, and support other operational or administrative activities as required.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess: Basic Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Basic computer, keyboard, numerical, and data-handling skills. Ability to follow work instructions and structured processes. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn new processes, systems, and digital tools, and reliability in completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Dedicated mentor or buddy support, training, and guidance on assigned tasks and relevant tools will be provided. Regular coaching, feedback, reasonable workplace accommodations, and assistive technologies will be provided where required. Development will focus on accuracy, quality, timely completion, compliance with procedures, attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, participation, and learning progress.
