Job summary

SHIMANO (SINGAPORE) PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a tooling engineer to drive metal forming carbide tooling projects and improve cold forging tooling for cost and life improvements. You will conduct hands-on trials, testing, and process development for metal forming operations.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing or Precision Engineering, be able to use NX Inventor, and work under pressure. Working location is Bulim Walk with uniforms and lunch provided.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in mechanical/manufacturing/precision engineering.
• Experience or familiarity with press machines.
• Experience with CAD design using NX Inventor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling development projects for metal forming carbide tooling.
• Improve cold forging and metal stamping tooling for life and cost reduction.
• Perform hands-on tooling trials and testing on various machines.
• Develop and improve processes for metal forming operations.

Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for Metal Forming Carbide Tooling development project
• Responsible for Cold Forging & Metal Stamping tooling improvement project to achieve better Tool-life, Cost reduction thru design change, process change, etc.
• Perform tooling hands-on trial & testing using various machine
• Perform process development/improvement for Metal Forming process

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering or related disciplines
• Skill & Knowledge in operating Press machine
• CAD design using NX Inventor software
• Knowledge in metal part fabrication process
• Skill in using inspection equipment
• Be able to work under pressure

• Mondays - Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm
