Job summary

A prominent manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking an Engineering Assistant (Tooling) to provide support in sample making, tooling buy-off, and management of tooling systems. The ideal candidate should have an ITE certification in Mechanical/Production Engineering and at least one year of relevant manufacturing experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings. This position offers an opportunity to liaise with both local and overseas tooling suppliers and support engineering evaluations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience in manufacturing and process development.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
• Basic or good knowledge of vision systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in sample making and ETO parts.
• Perform tooling buy-off and manage computerized tooling systems.
• Liaise with local and overseas tooling suppliers on tooling design issues.

Jobscope:

• Provide support in sample making & ETO parts
• Perform tooling buy-off
• Management of computerize tooling system
• Liaise with local and overseas tooling supplier on tooling design and issue
• Perform tooling failure analysis together with engineering/technical team
• Provide support to engineering evaluation
• Communicating with production operators/supervisors and other support groups
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum ITE Certifications in Mechanical / Production engineering
• Min 1 year relevant experience in manufacturing, process development work
• Able to interpret Engineering drawings
• Processes basic/good knowledge in vision systems will be an advantage
• Written & spoken English and technical writing experience
• Good interpersonal & communication
