Job summary

Kerry Consulting presents an opportunity for an experienced Trade Operator in Singapore to manage end-to-end physical coal cargo operations. You will coordinate vessel nominations, loading and discharge schedules, and ensure accurate shipping documentation across the trade lifecycle.

Reporting to the operations lead, you will liaise with traders, shipowners, brokers, banks and internal finance teams to ensure smooth cargo execution and robust risk controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in physical bulk trade operations, thermal coal and/or metallurgical coal.
• Strong knowledge of marine logistics, incoterms, laytime/demurrage, and trade documentation including Letters of Credit.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end physical trade operations for coal cargoes from execution to documentation.
• Coordinate vessel nominations, loading/discharge schedules and monitor shipment progress.
• Review contracts and ensure compliance with banking requirements and LC documents.
• Support receivables/payables, month-end processes and cash flow, while mitigating operational risks.
