Job summary

TQC Precision Engineering PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive New Product Introduction, ensuring smooth transfer from design to manufacturing and coordinating with design, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams.

The role requires GD&T understanding, CAD/CAM usage (Mastercam), MES project leadership, and strong communication in a cross-functional setting. Expect participation in continuous improvement and quality planning within a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• A diploma in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of work experience is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
• Proficient in Mastercam software.
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in using MRP/ERP systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Involved in NPI and ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications; understand GD&T and apply during programming; use CAD and CAM (MasterCam) for part models and tooling parameters.
• Understand and implement workholding for manufacturing processes; routing and documents preparation for all FAI using Navision.
• Prepare work instructions for assembly parts and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Complete quality planning for projects and work in a team environment.
• Maintain part hierarchy and drawing revision documentation; create fixture and process drawings as necessary.
• Participate in performance improvement activities with manufacturing personnel and follow SOPs.
• Assign as MES (Machine Electronics System) Project Lead and oversee MES implementations within manufacturing environments.

Job Responsibility

• Involved in NPI (New Product Introduction). Responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of a product from the design and development phase into manufacturing. He shall work closely with our cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure our product is manufacturable, meets quality standards, and is cost-effective.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications. Understand GD&T and apply it during the programming process. Use of CAD to create part models and geometry as needed. Use of CAM programming on multi-axis mill-turn machines using MasterCam software. Use Cimco Edit for NC file verification prior to manufacturing release. Determine optimal tooling and cutting parameters based on material and setup.
• Understand and implement workholding for manufacturing processes. Routing and documentspreparation for all FAI using Navision.
• Prepare work instruction (WI) for assembly parts. Work individually or as a team oncontinuous improvement efforts.
• Complete quality planning for projects. Work in a team environment.
• Maintain part hierarchy and drawing revision documentation. Create fixture and processdrawings as necessary.
• Participate in performance improvement activities with manufacturing personnel. Followstandard operating procedures.
• Assign as MES (Machine Electronics System) Project Lead. He shall lead our team fromvarious manufacturing process functions to oversee the implementation and management of MES solutions within manufacturing environments. This role ensures that MES projects align with organizational goals and are delivered on time and operate efficiently.
