Job description

You'll own the largest single cost line in the company — global cloud and network infrastructure procurement.

Core Responsibilities
  • Independent market coverage. Systematically track commercial terms and pricing mechanisms across major cloud providers, regional providers, resellers, and distribution channels.
  • Turn trade-offs into decidable options. Your core deliverable is not a vendor list — it's a clear picture of what real cost levers exist for the company under current market conditions, what each one costs, and what you recommend.
  • Senior-level business development. You need the ability to reach — and close deals with — people who actually hold decision-making authority at resellers and vendors.
  • Negotiation and deal structuring. Lead negotiations on committed-spend agreements (EDP / CUD / EA, etc.), reseller margin structures, and tiered pricing.
  • Vendor portfolio and risk management. Provide professional guidance on balancing cost optimization against supply security, reducing single-vendor dependency.
  • Build verifiable procurement discipline. Run regular third-party price benchmarking, invoice-level audits, and discount-rate comparisons, so procurement decisions are grounded in evidence rather than impressions.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
  • Hands-on experience in cloud resource procurement, cloud cost management (FinOps), or infrastructure sourcing — within an organization with large-scale cloud spend (tens of millions of USD annually or more).
  • Personally led commercial negotiations with cloud vendors or major resellers, with real working knowledge of committed-use discounts, reseller margins, egress billing, and similar pricing mechanisms.
  • Sufficient technical fluency: able to understand traffic patterns, regional pricing, and differences in outbound bandwidth billing models well enough to have substantive conversations with network engineering teams. You don't need to design architecture — but you need to be able to follow the conversation, ask the right questions, and judge whether a given technical justification actually holds up.
  • A track record of building vendor relationships from scratch — and reaching people who actually hold decision-making authority, not just selecting from an existing vendor pool.
  • Independent business-level negotiation and written communication in English. This role requires direct engagement with regional and global vendor teams — this requirement is non-negotiable.
