Job summary

JOBLINE RESOURCES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Database Migration Engineer to lead MSSQL/Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations on cloud-managed platforms (AWS/Azure).

You will design and optimize SQL queries and ensure data integrity while coordinating with application teams to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in database development and migration, strong SQL/T-SQL/PL-SQL skills, and hands-on experience with cloud DB services and data-movement tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with 8–10 years in database development and migration (MSSQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on database developer with strong SQL programming skills.
• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages.
• Experience with performance tuning, security/compliance, and cloud DB services.
• Experience with MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL on cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration and conversion of on-premises/cloud databases to PostgreSQL on cloud-managed services.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions in MSSQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with application teams to minimize downtime during migrations.
• Ensure database code meets performance, security, and coding standards.
• Configure and manage cloud-managed DB services across AWS and Azure.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery aligned to RPO/RTO objectives.
• Design high availability and scalability patterns.
• Maintain migration runbooks, schema mappings, and conversion logic.
