Job summary

NCS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Cloud Database Associate/Engineer to develop and manage core cloud infrastructure components, focusing on PaaS databases and reliability of services.

You will operate in a DevSecOps driven team handling customer cloud environments with hundreds of databases, supporting deployments, migrations, tuning, and patching while keeping up with best practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering or IT or related fields.
• 1–3 years of relevant IT experience.
• Familiar with SQL scripting and database concepts.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts and architecting.

Responsibilities

• Setup, testing, implementation and maintenance of technologies on cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Setup, managing & maintaining databases for client IT Cloud infrastructure.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting Oracle & MySQL related issues.
• Provide solutions related to database designs.
• Implement change requests related to development in databases.
• Support application deployment activities.
• Implement data patch SQL scripts.
• Provide solutions for SQL query tuning.
• Perform installation, upgrade and migration of databases.
• Perform database patching and hardening.
• Work in an agile, cross-functional team and document new processes.
