Job summary

Teamlease Digital Private Limited in Singapore is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud-based sandbox environments that enable innovation, experimentation and proof-of-concept initiatives.

The role focuses on AWS Cloud, software engineering, DevOps, automation and platform governance, with emphasis on self-service capabilities while maintaining security and operational standards.

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of experience in Cloud/Platform Engineering, DevOps, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and AWS infrastructure/services.
• Programming experience in Python.
• Working experience with Java or Type.
• Experience with AWS cloud operations, monitoring, troubleshooting and resource management.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and automation.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate AWS-based innovation sandbox and cloud platform environments.
• Provision, configure and manage cloud infrastructure, services, networking and access controls.
• Develop automation and reusable tools using Python and Java /Type.
• Build and integrate REST APIs, services and cloud-based solutions for self-service capabilities.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
• Develop reusable frameworks, playbooks, templates and reference architectures for teams.
• Support Docker, Kubernetes and containerised workloads where required.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible or similar tools.
• Manage IAM, authentication, access controls and cloud security controls.
• Monitor cloud resources, utilisation, performance and operational health; investigate and resolve issues.
• Support cloud cost monitoring, resource optimisation and chargeback activities.
• Establish sandbox governance, security, compliance and operational procedures.
• Enable self-service onboarding and provisioning for development and innovation teams.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, application, integration and deployment issues.

Job Overview

The role combines AWS Cloud, software engineering, DevOps, automation, security and platform engineering, with a strong focus on creating self-service capabilities while maintaining cloud governance, security and operational standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with AWS, Python and Java /Type , along with practical experience in cloud operations, automation, APIs, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate AWS-based innovation sandbox and cloud platform environments.

• Work closely with engineering, security, infrastructure and innovation teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Ensure sandbox environments adhere to relevant cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory and governance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–6+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS Cloud and AWS infrastructure/services.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Working experience with Java or Type .
• Experience with AWS cloud operations, monitoring, troubleshooting and resource management.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD and automation.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and system integrations.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more of:

• Good understanding of AWS IAM, security controls, networking and cloud governance.
• Experience with cloud resource utilisation, monitoring and cost optimisation.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certification is highly preferred, such as:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• AWS Certified Developer
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• Experience working with Azure or GCP is an advantage.
• Experience in regulated or compliance‑driven environments.
• Experience building self‑service cloud platforms or developer platforms.
• Experience with cloud governance, FinOps or chargeback models.
• Experience with security automation and policy enforcement.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of Cloud + Software Engineering + DevOps + Automation.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable writing code, working with AWS infrastructure, automating repetitive processes, troubleshooting production/cloud issues and collaborating with engineering and innovation teams.

Location / Candidate Preference

Singapore-based candidates are preferred.

Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents and Malaysian Nationals are preferred.

Candidates must have the appropriate authorization to work in Singapore as applicable.
