Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. seeks a Cloud Solutions Engineer to help organisations adopt modern developer productivity, DevOps and AI-assisted software development platforms.

You will partner with engineering and product teams, assess technical environments and implement workflows that boost delivery efficiency. The role covers solutioning, POCs, CI/CD modernisation, cloud-native tech, AI coding assistants, and customer enablement.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a technical role such as Solution Consultant, Software Engineer, DevOps, Platform Engineer or Customer Success Engineer.
• Strong fundamentals; ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, Python or Go.
• Experience deploying apps on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Engage engineering and development teams to understand productivity goals, architecture, tools and workflows.
• Analyse practices to improve developer experience, delivery efficiency and DevOps maturity.
• Design technical solutions addressing requirements and improve deployment workflows.
• Support POC initiatives to validate proposed technologies.
• Provide hands-on support during implementation, onboarding and migration.
• Support migration and modernisation of CI/CD, source-code management and project collaboration tools.
• Configure and optimise repositories, environments and pipelines for AI-assisted development.
• Guide teams in using AI coding assistants for code generation, testing and productivity.
• Troubleshoot issues across platforms, pipelines, cloud environments and integrations.
• Develop small tools, scripts and automation to remove blockers and boost productivity.
• Develop CI/CD templates, migration utilities and dashboards.
• Integrate productivity metrics into dashboards and reporting.
• Deliver technical briefings, workshops and platform enablement.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate feedback into improvements.

We are looking for a motivated Cloud Solutions Engineer with a strong technical background to support organisations in adopting modern developer productivity, DevOps and AI-assisted software development platforms.

In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams, product teams and customers to understand their technical environments, identify opportunities to improve developer workflows, and implement solutions that enhance software delivery efficiency.

You will be involved in solutioning, Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), CI/CD modernisation, cloud-native technologies, AI coding assistants, technical troubleshooting and customer enablement. This is a hands‑on role suitable for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software engineering, DevOps and technical consulting.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage engineering and development teams to understand their developer productivity goals, technical architecture, existing tools, workflows and software delivery processes.
• Analyse existing development practices and identify opportunities to improve developer experience, delivery efficiency and DevOps maturity.
• Design and recommend technical solutions that address customer requirements and improve development and deployment workflows.
• Support Proof-of-Concept (POC) initiatives to validate proposed solutions and technologies.
• Provide hands‑on support during early implementation, onboarding and migration phases to enable successful adoption and rollout.
• Support migration and modernisation of existing CI/CD, source‑code management and project collaboration tools.
• Configure and optimise source‑code repositories, development environments and pipelines to support modern and AI‑assisted development practices.
• Guide development teams in using AI coding assistants for activities such as code generation, unit testing, API testing, UX testing and development productivity.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across developer platforms, CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments and integrations, providing appropriate workarounds or resolutions.
• Design and develop small tools, scripts, reusable components and automation utilities to remove technical blockers and improve engineering productivity.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipeline templates, migration utilities, dashboards and platform integrations.
• Work with engineering teams to define and integrate relevant developer productivity and DevOps metrics into dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Conduct technical briefings, workshops and training sessions to support platform adoption and user enablement.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to analyse user feedback, troubleshoot issues and translate requirements into platform improvements.
• Contribute to technical documentation, implementation guides, knowledge bases and reusable best practices.
• Collaborate with other technical consultants and engineers to share knowledge, reusable solutions and implementation approaches.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical role, such as Solution Consultant, Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer or Customer Success Engineer.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to write clean, maintainable and efficient code.
• Hands‑on programming or scripting experience with technologies such as Node.js, Python or Go.
• Familiarity with application development technologies such as Java, .NET, Node.js, Python and/or Go.
• Hands‑on experience designing, building and deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience working with containers and Kubernetes‑based environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and practices, such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with source‑code management, repositories, automated testing and modern software delivery practices.
• Hands‑on exposure to AI coding assistants and AI‑assisted software development, such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Codex or similar tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across applications, development platforms, pipelines and cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and address bottlenecks in development and delivery processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills with a customer‑oriented and consultative approach.
• Comfortable conducting technical demonstrations, workshops, training and enablement sessions.
• Self‑driven and adaptable, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across engineering, product and customer teams.

Good to Have

• Experience in developer experience (DevEx), developer productivity or internal developer platforms.
• Experience implementing or supporting developer portals, platform engineering solutions or self‑service developer platforms.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, container platforms and cloud‑native architectures.
