Job summary

NETS is seeking an enthusiastic Software Developer intern to join the Application Delivery-Engineering team in Singapore. You will collaborate with developers to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native Java applications and gain hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.

You will work on cloud deployments, microservices design, and performance tuning while learning containerization, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, and modern UI ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a computer science or engineering program.
• Proficient in Java and OO design principles.
• Familiar with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
• Basic understanding of microservices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience or coursework in developing and maintaining microservices.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork.
• Excellent communication and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Available to commence internship from January 2027, Full time.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and implement cloud-native Java applications.
• Work on the deployment and maintenance of applications in cloud environments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Assist in optimizing and troubleshooting existing codebase for improved performance.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of microservices architecture for seamless integration within cloud platforms.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance overall code quality.
• Research and stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices related to cloud-native development.
• Support the team in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
