Job summary

Amazon Singapore is seeking a Software Development Engineer intern to solve real customer problems using modern technologies. You will own significant parts of the code lifecycle from design to deployment and operations while collaborating with seasoned Amazonians in a fast-paced environment.

You will work full-time, Monday–Friday, up to 40 hours per week, with mentors guiding you through AWS Security Services projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM fields
• Expected to graduate Aug or Dec 2027
• Legally eligible to work in Singapore
• Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language (Java, Python, C++, Go, TypeScript)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services
• Design and develop scalable cloud-native solutions using microservices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost-effective
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call responsibilities
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring and troubleshooting production issues
