Job summary

Unison Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Java Microservices Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native apps using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.

You will own backend service development, API integration, and CI/CD, working with cross-functional teams to implement patterns like service discovery and API gateways, ensuring performance and data integrity in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–6+ years of progressive software development experience specializing in enterprise Java applications.
• Hands‑on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with RESTful services, JSON/XML data, and messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and Redis caching.
• Strong design patterns, OOP, and SDLC knowledge.
• Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
• Legal work eligibility in Singapore and availability for full‑time on‑site.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable enterprise microservices using Java and Spring.
• Build secure RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and event-driven messaging.
• Implement distributed microservices patterns: service discovery, API gateways, circuit breakers, config.
• Optimize database performance; write complex SQL for relational and NoSQL stores.
• Execute unit/integration testing and CI/CD automation.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, DevOps, QA, and product managers in agile sprints.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions; ensure clean code.
• Document APIs, system architecture, and deployment runbooks.
