The candidate will oversee performance tuning, backups, DR planning, and collaboration with application teams to ensure data integrity and scalable solutions. The role involves mentoring junior DBAs, promoting best practices, and staying current with database technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in database administration.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
Migration experience from Oracle to SQL Server or Oracle to PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

Monitor and optimize database performance and availability, ensuring SLAs.
Manage database operations and governance, including configuration and documentation.
Lead backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery planning.
Lead database implementation and support application teams.
Establish and enforce database standards and procedures.
Educate teams and promote best practices in coding and design.
Mentor junior DBAs and share knowledge across the organization.
Stay updated with database technologies and contribute to knowledge repositories.
