Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Application DBA to manage database administration activities, optimize performance, and ensure high availability. The role involves design reviews, SQL tuning, and documenting procedures to meet customer expectations.

You will lead backup/restore operations, disaster recovery planning, and collaborate with application teams while mentoring junior DBAs and promoting best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in database administration.
• Experience with either Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in migration projects (Oracle to SQL Server or Oracle to PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize database performance and availability, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Manage database operations, configuration, and documentation.
• Lead backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery planning.
• Review database design and suggest improvements to data models.
• Enforce database standards and educate teams on best practices.
• Mentor junior DBAs and share knowledge across the organization.
• Stay updated with database technologies and contribute learnings.
