Job summary

Synapxe is seeking an intern to join the Cloud team in Singapore, contributing to an automation framework for BAU tasks. You will work with BAU network and security changes, using GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Python, and Jinja2 to standardize configurations and improve auditability.

You will develop reusable automation workflows integrated with ITSM processes, build HTML dashboards, and document procedures. Ideal for undergraduates passionate about HealthTech and impact-driven tech.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Information Security, or related field.
• Year 2 or 3 student with foundational programming/networking knowledge.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching.
• Familiarity with Python programming and scripting.
• Knowledge of Git/GitLab and CI/CD is a plus.
• Willing to learn and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in automating BAU network and security changes with Ansible.
• Develop Python scripts to support automation workflows.
• Create Jinja2 templates for generating config files.
• Build and manage GitLab repositories for automation scripts.
• Implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automation jobs.
• Analyze existing change procedures and identify automation opportunities.
• Develop HTML dashboards and reports for automation results and audit trails.
• Perform basic testing of automation scripts in lab environments.
