Job summary

Scoot in Singapore is seeking an intern to assist in building intelligent, automated infrastructure across cloud, network, and end-user computing. The intern will support IT engineers in leveraging AI, automation, and observability to enhance reliability and user experience of IT services.

Key responsibilities include optimizing cloud operations, automating workflows, and improving monitoring dashboards. Candidates should have knowledge of cloud fundamentals, programming skills, and a passion for DevOps.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud fundamentals (IaaS, PaaS, containers) and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with at least one programming/scripting language (e.g. Python, Java, or Shell).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP or Azure) – even via school projects.
• Basic understanding of monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Interest in SRE / DevOps / Platform Engineering and AI-assisted automation.
• Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Optimize Cloud operations on GCP, service visualization using Grafana.
• Detect anomalies in performance and security-related metrics and logs using AI.
• Design and prototype scripts, bots or workflows to automate remediation.
• Help build and improve dashboards, alerts and health checks for network and EUC services.
• Contribute to defining and tracking SLOs/SLIs, including service availability and security-related indicators.
• Analyze end-to-end workflows for cloud resources and propose process improvements.
