Job summary

Bitdeer in Singapore is seeking a backend engineer to design and build control-plane services for tenant management, quotas, metering, billing, and the customer portal/API.

You will architect global vs regional control-plane, implement self-service onboarding, ensure billing correctness, and collaborate on region-aware scheduling with Compute. We value 3+ years in backend dev with Go/Java/Python and strong API design.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services and control planes for multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Strong skills in Go/Java/Python and API design with distributed systems understanding.
• Familiarity with RBAC, OAuth/OIDC, and billing/quota systems is a plus.
• Frontend knowledge (React/Vue) for full-stack contributors is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and build control-plane services: tenant management, quota, metering/billing, ticketing, RBAC/permissions, and the portal/API.
• Architect global vs regional control-plane split and cross-region consistency for tenant, quota, billing.
• Build self-service onboarding and automation to reduce manual steps.
• Ensure billing/metering correctness and auditability.
• Develop tooling for detection, isolation, and recovery to improve stability.
• Collaborate on region-aware scheduling/placement with Compute.
