Job summary

The Clinical Sample Processor I at ICON plc Singapore ICON Lab will handle daily sample shipments, assess samples on receipt, and enter data into ICON’s Lab Database. You will store samples per protocol and ensure documentation is complete.

Requirements include a Diploma degree, internship or work experience in receiving shipments, basic computer skills, and attention to detail. Singaporean or PR status is required; office-based role with day schedules and Saturday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily shipments of samples and materials.

• Perform barcode labelling and validation of specimens.
• Coordinate shipments and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Escalate issues to senior team members as needed.

Clinical Sample Processor I (Singapore ICON Lab)

• Office-based: Singapore ICON Lab (30 Loyang way, Unit 02/12-15, Singapore 508769)

• Working hour: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m./9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• 5 days a week based on duty roster including Saturdays and Public Holidays

• You will be compensated double pay for any Public Holiday duties and an off-in-lieu.

• No night shifts are required.

The Role:

The Clinical Sample Processor will be responsible for receiving daily shipments of samples and other materials, assessing the samples upon receipt, entering data in ICON’s Lab Database, and storing samples based on protocol specifications.

• Perform a quality check of controlled forms, scan paperwork, archive visits and other regulated documentation.

• Barcode labelling and validation of specimens and transport specimens to the technicians in the laboratory to be analysed.

• Adhere to OSHA and the Company's Health and Safety regulations and security procedures at all times and document and research any problems with received specimen.

• Preparation of sample shipments per shipment schedule, including relevant documentation

• Quality checking of shipments to ensure correct samples are included and documentation accompanies shipments

• Shipment of samples to other ICL locations or referral laboratories per protocol specific requirements

• Responsible for receipt of samples into the database and store in samples per protocol specifications

• Maintaining sample and shipment documentation in appropriate files

• Coordinate courier collections with Logistics to ensure shipments are sent as per protocol specific requirements

• Escalating any problems to senior members of the team

• Additional responsibilities as requested by management of Sample Management

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

• Diploma degree

• Internship or work experience in receiving daily shipments of samples and assessing the samples

• Basic working knowledge of computers and accuracy and attentiveness to detail
