Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Sample Handling Associate I to join our team in Singapore. The role involves managing human biological and radioligand specimens, registering them in temperature-controlled drawers, and ensuring accurate handling and shipping according to SOPs.

Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Pharmaceutical Science or related fields and be able to work independently within a busy lab environment.

Responsibilities

  • Management of human biological and radioligand specimens.
  • Ensure specimens are picked up and registered into temperature-controlled drawers in a timely manner.
  • Pre-scan, register, process, pull, and pack specimens using in-house system.
  • Identify and route problem specimens and disposal processes.
  • Create new storage drawers and consolidate/relocate drawers to optimize freezer space.
  • Perform basic freezer maintenance and temperature monitoring; maintain documentation.
  • Retrieve specimens from storage and prepare shipments per instructions.
  • Generate and apply labels as required; complete final quality checks before shipment release.

Sample Handling Associate I – Singapore

Labcorp is seeking a Sample Handling Associate I to join our team in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities
  • Management of human biological and radioligand specimens.
  • Ensure that specimens are picked up from the appropriate department and registered into the appropriate temperature-controlled drawers in a timely manner.
  • Accurately and efficiently pre-scan, register, process, pull, and pack specimens using our in-house system.
  • Identify and route problem specimens.
  • Accurately identify specimens for disposal and complete the discard process.
  • Create new storage drawers for the registration process.
  • Consolidate and move drawers as specified to effectively utilize freezer space.
  • Perform basic freezer maintenance, temperature monitoring, and associated documentation.
  • Retrieve specimens from storage units according to specimen pull lists.
  • Pack specimen according to shipping instructions and requirements.
  • Generate and apply labels to the specimens if required.
  • Prepare specimen shipments using our in-house system.
  • Perform final quality checks before shipment release.
  • Stock supplies from the warehouse.
  • Complete mid-day and end-of-day checks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and departmental SOPs.
  • Follow all biological and radiation safety procedures and contamination control requirements when handling biological and radioligand specimens.
  • Maintain accurate audit trails, training records, and required documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Pharmaceutical Science or Applied Science or Biotechnology or Radiological Science
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 months or more of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in handling radioligand specimens or radioactive materials is an advantage.

  • Able to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with Tues-Sat shift arrangement (1-2 Sunday shift commitment is mandatory).
  • Comfortable with manual/physical job scope like lifting of 10kg boxes.
