Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Sample Handling Associate I to join our team in Singapore. The role involves managing human biological and radioligand specimens, registering and tracking them in temperature-controlled drawers, and performing pre-scan, registration, processing, pulling, and packing using our in-house system.

You will ensure quality checks, follow safety procedures, and maintain audit trails while supporting daily lab operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Pharmaceutical Science or Applied Science or Biotechnology or Radiological Science.
• 3 months or more of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge and experience in handling radioligand specimens or radioactive materials is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage human biological and radioligand specimens.
• Register and track specimens in temperature-controlled drawers.
• Pre-scan, register, process, pull, and pack specimens using in-house systems.
• Identify and route problem specimens.
• Accurately identify specimens for disposal and complete the discard process.
• Create new storage drawers for the registration process.
• Consolidate and move drawers to effectively utilize freezer space.
• Perform basic freezer maintenance, temperature monitoring, and associated documentation.
• Retrieve specimens from storage units according to specimen pull lists.
• Pack specimen according to shipping instructions and requirements.
• Generate and apply labels to the specimens if required.
• Prepare specimen shipments using our in-house system.
• Perform final quality checks before shipment release.
• Stock supplies from the warehouse.
• Complete mid-day and end-of-day checks as assigned.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and departmental SOPs.
• Follow all biological and radiation safety procedures and contamination control requirements when handling biological and radioligand specimens.
• Maintain accurate audit trails, training records, and required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
