Job summary

Alexandra Hospital in Singapore seeks a Research Coordinator to support multi-site NUHS studies on conversational voice AI. You will recruit subjects, collect data and coordinate administrative tasks across hospitals and clinics.

You will work with Principal Investigators, ensure HBRA compliance and manage study records in REDCap and the hospital's EHR. Fresh graduates welcome; 2–3 years preferred; travel between sites required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Science/Public Health/Social Science or related field.
• 2–3 years' relevant clinical research experience preferred; fresh graduates welcome.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment with good time management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with leadership and accountability.
• Willing to travel between hospitals and external study sites; knowledge of GCP/HBRA preferred.

Job description

Overview

Reporting to the Project Manager in Alexandra Hospital, you will be involved in multi-site, NUHS research evaluation of conversational voice AI agent project – a national cross clusters’ effort led by Synapxe. You will be based at hospitals or polyclinics across NUHS cluster. You will be primarily responsible for subject recruitment and other research deliverables for the studies. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator(s) and research team.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

• Subject Recruitment and follow-up
  • Be involved in subject recruitment, scheduling and data entry. Screen patients based on study eligibility and communicate the study aims to potential subjects in layman terms.
  • Obtain consent taking, administer study questionnaires and follow-up on study participants.
  • Work closely with research team, clinicians, clinic staff and other relevant internal departments to ensure research study needs are met.
  • Able to work on tight timelines, set sensible targets and achieve research deliverables.
• Research Documentation / Administrative duties
  • • Conduct research study activities like patient recruitment, data collection and data management.
    • Assist in data collection from electronic health records.
    • Set up and maintain study investigator files, including records of consent taken.
    • Maintain study records in databases such as Redcap and in electronic health record systems.
    • Responsible for maintaining strict adherence to research protocols, e.g.Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA).
    • Liaise with investigators and clinicians to set up clinical workflows at multiple clinical departments for research recruitment.
    • Prepare necessary documentation for audit purposes.
    • Coordinate the submission of new Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, study amendments and annual reports.
    • Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with hospital policies, ethics requirements and local regulations.
    • Liaise with relevant authorities (such as Domain Specific Review Board [DSRB]) for approval, progress updates etc
    • Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Science/ Public Health/ Social Science/ Related Degree
• Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant clinical research experience is preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus to meet research deliverables and targets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Leadership and accountability in tasks is very desirable.
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team.
• Meticulous, well-organized and able to multi-task
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with different groups of stakeholders.
• Willing to travel between the Hospitals and external study sites as part of his / her work.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and the HBRA preferred.
