Job summary

The Hearing Centre Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced audiology professional in Singapore to define hearing impairments and balance disorders, perform electrophysiological tests, and operate diagnostic equipment.

The role includes fitting hearing aids and assistive devices, providing auditory training, and counseling patients and families. You will maintain patient records, contribute to quality improvements, and stay current with new techniques.

Qualifications

• Formal training in audiology or relevant clinical qualification may be required.
• Strong communication and counseling skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Define patient hearing impairment and balance disorder by conferring with referring physician.
• Select and administer electrophysiological and other relevant tests; operate diagnostic equipment.
• Determine type and degree of hearing impairment and effects on speech comprehension.
• Prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Provide treatments; fitting hearing aids and other assistive devices; auditory training and lip-reading instruction.
• Fit and tune cochlear implants.
• Counsel patients and families; conduct aural rehabilitation programs; guide technical staff.
• Maintain patient records by recording and updating evaluations, changes, progress, and treatments.
• Improve quality by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; participate in research; evaluate new equipment.
• Update knowledge by tracking trends and attending educational opportunities.
• Support organizational goals by taking initiative and seeking value-added tasks.
