Job summary

National Heart Centre Singapore is seeking a qualified physician to assist in all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery under a contract employment arrangement.

Applicants should hold a recognised basic medical degree, have passed the country’s licensing exam where applicable, and possess at least 5 years of post-housemanship training (min. 3 years in cardiothoracic or general surgery). Proficiency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years post-housemanship training in the relevant field, with at least 3 years in the cardiothoracic or general surgery area.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Vaccination proof: Measles (MMR) and TdAP vaccinations or plans to complete before work start.

Job description

You will assist in all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Suitable candidates will be offered contract employment .

Requirements:

• A recognised basic medical degree

• Passed the national licensing examination as required in the country where the basic medical degree was conferred (if applicable)

• At least 5 years’ post-housemanship training in the relevant field, of which a minimum of 3 years must be in the cardiothoracic or general surgery area

• A good command of English (both written and spoken)

• Documented proof of:

(i)Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

(ii)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
