Job summary

National Heart Centre Singapore is seeking a medical professional to join the multidisciplinary cardiothoracic team, providing day-to-day patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will assist in invasive and non-invasive investigations and procedures, and support all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

• Passed the national licensing examination as required in the country where the basic medical degree was conferred (if applicable).
• Prior experience in an acute hospital setting is essential.
• Interest in research is an advantage.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Job description

You are part of the multidisciplinary team providing day-to-day patient care in the cardiothoracic surgical specialty. You will be involved in both outpatient and inpatient areas, assisting in invasive and non-invasive investigations and procedures. You will also assist in all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Requirements:

• Basic Medical Degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council

• Relevant and recognised postgraduate qualification

• Passed the national licensing examination as required in the country where the basic medical degree was conferred (if applicable)

• Prior experience in an acute hospital setting is essential

• Strong interest and/or credentials in research would be an advantage

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Documented proof of:

(i)Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

(ii)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
